Architecture Major

The graduate courses in the architecture curriculum cover several areas that are investigated in eleven individual laboratories. In architecture planning and design, the Spatial/Modeling/Design Lab, the Architecture and Urban Design Lab, the Architecture and Urban Theory Lab, the SALT, the TAALab, the Project: Architecture, the Laboratory for Architectural Culture, and the Laboratory for Architectural Space conduct advanced research on architectural theory and criticism. The Architecture History Lab conducts in-depth research on the history of architecture in Korea and Asia. The Architecture Urban Spatial Lab analyzes the spatial and structural elements of cities, and the Urban Form and Conservation Lab investigates architectural conservation, design, and community planning. More information about each lab is given below.

Architectural Engineering Major

Graduate courses in the Architectural Engineering curriculum cover several areas that are investigated in seven individual laboratories. The Architecture Environmental Planning Lab and the Building Simulation Lab study built environment, technical building systems, and building simulation theories and principles. The Construction Engineering & Management Lab examines the construction and management of structures. The Structural Engineering & Material Lab investigates the materials used in architectural structures. There are also the Steel Structures & Seismic Design Lab, the Building Structural System Lab, and the Hi-performance Structural Engineering Lab. More information about each lab is given below.
