Professor Tae-Woo Lee (Department of Materials Science and Engineering), Professor Jongho Lee (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering), Professor Youngsub Lim (Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) and Professor Gunhee Lee (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) of Seoul National University College of Engineering (Dean Kunwoo Lee) were selected as 2017 SNU ‘Creative Young Researchers’.
The award ceremony was held at the Professor Hall at 11:30 pm on Friday, August 18.
Seoul National University set up a project to support creative young researchers for the first time last year in order to find out and support young researchers with potential, and to support creative and challenging research projects. It is aimed to produce excellent research results such as prestigious international academic awards that will lead the 21st century.
For the researchers who are selected as creative young researchers will be supported by the university. The field of experiment will be funded about 100 million won per year and the field of theories will be supported about 30 million won per year. They can be funded up to 9 years.
Seoul National University will continuously endeavor to produce world-class research results and to develop young researchers.
