‘International Symposia GSDV’ for ICT network will be open

The GSDV (Green Smart Development & Vision) will be held at Seoul National University on November 8 (Wed) and 9 (Thu) to build a global cooperation network in ICT (Information and Communications Technologies)
This annual event is an international conference jointly hosted by Seoul National University and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT. It is part of the 'International ICT Policy (ITPP) and International Technology Expert Course (ITTP)’ project run by Seoul National University and KAIST.
On the first day, '2017 Global ICT Seoul Forum' will be held at Seoul National University Hoam Faculty House. This forum aims to share the accomplishments of domestic ICT industry in the emerging countries and ICT global cooperation network, and discuss cooperation and development direction with emerging countries in the future. It’s the 15th anniversary for the forum since 2003.
On the second day, 'International Symposia 2017 GSDV' will be held at the faculty hall of Seoul National University Faculty House (building number 65). In this event, a number of international academic papers will be presented on various topics of ICT field, such as media, communication, and innovation, and an international project to solve social and cultural problems with ICT technology will be proposed. In addition, there will be a forum for discussing major issues such as the fusion of technology and humanities and creativity education.
In this event, Honorary Professor Jang-kyu Lee of the Seoul National University, Professor Pravit Khaemasunun of the Thammasat University in Thailand, Professor Piotr Ostaszewski of the University of Warsaw in Poland, and Jong-lok Yoon, Director of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, will be presenting the keynote speech. The keynote presentation is about development direction and cooperation case for mutual growth between Korea and emerging countries based on 4th industrial revolution.
In addition, domestic graduate students in the field of ICT, students in the field of education, ambassadors of cooperation countries, international and domestic national officials in IT sector, public center researchers and industry experts are expected to participate. Furthermore, a booth for companies that want to enter emerging countries will be operated.
Meanwhile, Seoul National University and KAIST have been running the International ICT Policy (ITPP) and International Technology Expert Course (ITTP). This project promotes the development of global Korea-friendly network, development of ICT industry in emerging countries and overseas expansion of domestic companies through graduate study support for government officials and ICT specialists in the emerging countries.
