Seoul National University's College of Engineering announced that the AIP Alumni Association has donated 50 million KRW to support the college's development.

The donation ceremony, held on July 16, was attended by Young-oh Kim, Dean of the College of Engineering; Byeonghyo Shim, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs; Eunsu Park, Vice Dean of Planning; Changha Lee, Vice Dean of Student Affairs; and Taejin Kang, Honorary Professor (former Dean of the College of Engineering and AIP Advisory Committee Member). They expressed their gratitude to the AIP Alumni Association for its generous contribution.

Established in 1989, the Advanced Industrial Strategy Program (AIP), led by Professor Chulhui An, aims to address the challenges posed by the fourth industrial revolution. It leverages the advanced scientific and technological knowledge and research capabilities of SNU’s College of Engineering faculty to explore key issues faced by the knowledge-information society and industry.

AIP is a premier program in science and engineering, focusing on new growth areas such as AI, Big Data, Robotics, Autonomous Driving, Bioengineering, and the Internet of Things (IoT). It offers in-depth lectures on major topics, enabling participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of these fields.

Over the past 30 years, AIP has produced more than 3,500 alumni. According to a survey conducted by the Korea Economic Daily, it has been ranked the top advanced program in science and engineering for nine consecutive years by domestic corporate CEOs.
