Seoul National University's College of Engineering (Dean Byoungho Lee) announced that Professor Jung Woo Lee of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering presented the original  automatic learning device used as the core technology for HodooAI's AI development platform at Vision 2021.
 
Vision Days 2021 is the world's largest exhibition in the field of machine vision with over 70,000 participants every year. It is held every two years in Stuttgart, Germany, and was held offline from October 5 to 7 this year.
 
CTO Jung Woo Lee, Professor at Seoul National University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and one of Korea's leading industrial AI (Industrial AI) technology experts, founded HodooAI, an AI development platform company, in 2017 with five students as a laboratory start-up and supplied OLED panel inspection solutions to LG Display and pharmaceutical inspection equipment to Huons Group, accumulating experience in the industrial AI field.
 
The automatic learning technology introduced in Vision Days applies reinforcement learning-based automatic pre-processing technology (REST, patent application) and meta-learning (patent application) that was independently developed by HodooAI, and includes innovative technology that increases AI accuracy while reducing the amount of learning data required for additional learning.
 
Based on the above technology, HodooAI plans to release an AI learning automation solution (AI for AI SW) for desktops for data requiring security in early 2022.
 
In addition, based on the paper presented by CTO Jung Woo Lee's team at the International Conference on Machine Learning 2021 - the world's most prestigious AI conference, the AI development cloud platform that guarantees security and privacy (AI for AI Platform) is also planned to be released at the same time.
 
Using this, it is expected that other third-party AI service developers and demanding companies will be able to freely develop AI models, contributing to the vitalization of the machine vision industry, a key field of industrial AI.
