맥도넬 장학 프로그램 (전액 장학) 소개

미국 Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) 공과 대학 석박사 과정과 맥도넬 장학프로그램 (McDonnell International Scholars Academy)이 2025 가을 학기부터 시작하는 박사과정의 지원자를 모집에 대한 설명회를 개최합니다. 관심 있는 학생들의 많은 참여바랍니다. 이번에는 WashU McKelvey School of Engineering

1. 대학 소개

1853년 개교(미주리州 세인트루이스 소재)하여 현재까지 26명의 노벨상과 7명의 퓰리처상 수상자를 배출한 미국 명문대학으로, 2024년 《US News & World Report》가 선정한 순위에서 미국내 24위의 명문으로 꼽힌다. 2019 《Clarivate Analytics》에 따르면 Washington University가 세계 7위의 가장 많이 인용된 연구자들이 재직하는 곳으로 꼽혔다. 미국 내 상위 371개 대학 가운데 '학생을 위한 재정 지원이 우수한 대학' 부문에서 4위에 선정되었다.

2. McDonnell International Scholars Academy 장학프로그램

·         Full tuition and a monthly living stipend;

·         A relocation expense allowance and travel allowance;

·         Opportunity to reside in private, modern cohort housing within walking distance to campus, and;

·         Multifaceted instruction, cultural experiences, dedicated mentorship, and an expansive worldwide network of students and alumni.

* 지원하고자 하는 과에 박사과정 원서를 McKelvey  각 학과 에 2024 년 12월 15일까지 제출하여야 함.

* McDonnell 장학금 지원은 별도의 과정으로 2025 년 1월 31일 마감. 장학금 지원은 McDonnell website https://mcdonnell.wustl.edu/apply/ 에서Candidate’s biographic information, academic history, personal essay, short video, and recommendation letter 를 별도로 제출해야 함.
