SNU Professor Chun Byung-Gon’s research team chosen for AWS Cloud Credits for Research Program

On 1^st this month, SNU College of engineering (Dean Char Kook-heon) announced that research team of SNU Department of Computer Science and Engineering Professor Chun Byung-Gon has been chosen for the AWS (Amazon Web Service) Cloud Credits for Research Program.
The research team will be funded with $80,000 for a year.
AWS is a cloud service provided by Amazon, a US online shopping mall, and it provides various services like EC2 virtual server, S3 storage.
Amazon selects research teams that conduct outstanding research using Amazon’s cloud environment, through AWS Cloud Credits for Research Program.
Professor Chun’s research team is conducting big data and machine learning system research. The team will evaluate a system that processes big data with distributed machine learning, using this AWS Program.
