SNU Professor Lee Kyoung Mu Elected as the Next President of Korean Computer Vision Society

SNU College of Engineering (Dean Cha Kook-Heon) announces that Professor Lee Kyoung Mu of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been elected as the next President of the Korean Computer Vision Society (KCVS) at the “2018 Korean Conference on Computer Vision (KCCV)” and regular general assembly held at Sungkyunkwan University last 18th. His one-year term of office is from August 1st to July 31st 2019.
Professor Lee has played a key role in the establishment of KCVS and is also recognized globally as a prominent scholar in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in computer vision. He currently serves as the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI) and the Advisory Board member of the Computer Vision Foundation (CVF). Lee is also the General Chair of the International Conference on Computer Vision 2019 (ICCV 2019) that is going to be hosted in Seoul next year.
Established in 2016, the KCVS is a leading national research society on AI and Machine Learning. Since its established, it has devoted to boosting Korea’s academic and industrial AI to meet the global level. The KCVS hosts the KCCV annually. Over 560 participants from Korea and abroad have participated in this year’s event.
