Seoul National University's College of Engineering (Dean Kookheon Char) announced on January 17 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with KT (Cloud/DX Head of Business Mihee Lee) to expand the use of cloud in research and education activities.
The two organizations prepared a business agreement involving details on the cooperation plan and held the agreement ceremony with a non-face-to-face video conference system. Through this agreement, Seoul National University and KT are planning to actively cooperate with each other to expand domestic cloud competitiveness.
The main contents of the cooperation include △ education, research, providing cloud infrastructure resources to implement ideas for start-ups △ technical support and exchanges for cloud-based education/research activation and they have decided to continue to cooperate to expand the domestic Cloud ecosystem.
In particular, Seoul National University will strive to spread Cloud technology both in and out of school through research activation and cloud-based education-related cooperation to secure domestic Cloud competitiveness. It will also cooperate with KT's research and technology development activities, and just as KT has done, will support its research technology and human resources.
"We expect the agreement between Seoul National University's College of Engineering and KT to strengthen our domestic cloud-based research and education capabilities", said SNU College of Engineering Dean Kookheon Char. "We will actively cooperate to make effective use of cloud services," he added.
