Dean Kookheon Char of the Seoul National University College of Engineering Participates in the 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge'
-A slogan campaign to improve national consensus that prioritizes child safety

On February 26th, Dean Kookheon Char of the SNU College of Engineering participated in the “Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge” to prevent traffic accidents and create a safe traffic environment for children.
 
One of the activities at the Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge for publicizing the slogan “First stop, look here 2 there, for 3 seconds, 4 preventing accidents” declared by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in September last year involves a participant to post a picture of him/her holding the slogan after which the individual will nominate the next participant who is to continue the relay.
 
This slogan was selected through a public idea contest to spread a culture that prioritizes child protection and Dean Kookheon Char's participation in the challenge represents his agreement to the purpose of spreading traffic safety culture as well as his willingness to actively participate in the challenge.                           
 
“I hope this challenge will establish a safe transportation culture for the children and drivers in our lives, and I myself will begin by implementing a traffic safety slogan to prevent accidents. Further, as an engineer, I will encourage everybody, including our future generation of children to study technology to establish and create a safe society,” said Dean Kookheon Char who participated in the challenge after being nominated by Dean Suk-Ha Lee of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
 
In addition, CEO Youngjae Kim of Daeduck Electronics and Dean Shin Chan Soo Shin of the Seoul National University School of Medicine were nominated as participants in the next challenge to continue the relay.
