Seoul National University's Institute of New Media and Communications (Research director Jung-Woo Lee) and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology Institute for Artificial Intelligence (Research director Heung-No Lee) signed a "work agreement for artificial intelligence research cooperation" on May 7 at the New Media and Communications conference room to strengthen future national competitiveness in the field of artificial intelligence.
 
Through this agreement, Seoul National University's Institute of New Media and Communications and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology Institute for Artificial Intelligence agreed to work towards △ education and research in the field of artificial intelligence, start-ups △ building data for key industries of a smart inclusive society (finance, mobility, energy, healthcare, cultural content, etc.) △ allocate research space to promote mutual exchange, exchange of research personnel and sharing of research infrastructure.
 
"We will contribute to the development of national science, technology and industrial development by sharing and actively utilizing the human resources and material infrastructure owned by the two organizations and by promoting joint participation in national research & development as well as start-up projects," said Jung-Woo Lee, research director of the SNU Institute of New Media and Communications.
