South Korea-U.S. Strategic Infrastructure Cooperation Forum

-May 20 Siheung Campus, participants include Biden Administration Advisor Norman Anderson
- “It will be a major design process for economic exchanges between Korea and the United States for the next 10 years and more”

Seoul National University's College of Engineering (Dean Kookheon Char) announced that it will hold a strategic smart infrastructure cooperation forum between South Korea and the U.S. organized by the Global R&DB Center (Center Director Jun Seok Hwang) at Siheung Campus Education Cooperation Center from 9:00-12:40 p.m. on May 20.
 
The forum has consulted the administrations of the former Presidents of the United States, Clinton and Obama and along with Norman Anderson, president of the Strategic Infrastructure Performance Institute that is advising the current Biden administration, its participants include Blockchains Inc. - a leading US infrastructure development advisory/implementation company led by Lee Weiss, Michael Woods - CEO of Big Sun Holdings, the US branch of HN Group in Korea, as well as other major U.S and Korean research institutes and companies and Seoul National University, making it a platform for discussion in its highest form.
 
The forum will focus on exploring opportunities for mutual economic cooperation through integrated discussions at policy, economic and academic cooperation levels and discussing the strategy, direction and specifics of the U.S. Biden government's large-scale infrastructure investment. To fulfill such purposes, there will be a signing ceremony for the mutual letter of intent and the memorandum of understanding.
 
A U.S. private economic cooperation delegation will visit Korea for a week starting from May 17. The forum, being held a day before the Korea-U.S. summit scheduled for May 21, the two countries will solidify their strategic alliance for joint investment and business creation and push for practical industry-academic and government economic exchanges as well as major business creation.
 
The event, co-hosted by Seoul National University's Global R&DB Center (GRC) and the CG/LA Strategic Infrastructure Performance Institute and Blockchains Inc., will be covered by several major media outlets, including the U.S. economic magazine "Bloomberg."
