With the generous support of our faculty members, the SNU Faculty Council raised a COVID-19 Relief Scholarship to provide financial assistance for the students affected by the coronavirus crisis.
Applications for the Faculty Council's COVID-19 Relief Scholarship are now open to students in need of financial help. Applications shall be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs.
 
1. Open to : Undergraduate and graduate students in need of monetary support due to being financially affected by the COVID-19 crisis (last semester’s GPA should be over 2.4)

2. Eligibility
1) Undergraduates : must be currently enrolled (those who have been in school for more than 8 semesters can also apply)
※ Students on a leave of absence are not eligible
2) Graduates : must be currently enrolled as grad students (those who have been in school for more than 4 semesters can also apply) or as research students (no GPA requirement)

3. Selection Criteria
 1) Selection : about 130 students
 2) After discussion of Division of Welfare and Scholarship and SNU Faculty Council selected students will receive notice.
 3) For those with GPA below 2.4, need a recommendation letter from a faculty mentor or from a vice-dean is needed (See Attachment 3)
 4) Exclusion criteria : Students who are facing any disciplinary action, who are currently on a leave of absence or on academic probation, are deemed ineligible.
 
4. Required Documents
 1) Application Form (See Attachment)
 2) Records of your family's income for the past year (both parents)
  - Married students will have to supply records for themselves and their spouses
 3) Family tax returns for the past year (both parents)
  - Married students will have to supply records for themselves and their spouses
 4) Appropriate documentation of financial hardship
  (ex. certificate of debt or loan) * optional

5. Amount : up to 1,000,000 won per student

6. Application Period : 2020. 5. 6.(Wed) ~ 5. 18.(Mon)
 

7. How to Apply : Scan the application form and other supplementary documents, submit them to the SNU Division of Welfare and Scholarship via email
