Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly advancing in terms of core AI technologies, and its influence across various academic disciplines is also increasing at a fast pace. SNU has over 100 AI professors, more than 200 AI application labs, and a research team of over 2,000 members. We established the Interdisciplinary Program in Artificial Intelligence together with our top core AI researchers. The program focuses on professors engaged in core AI technology research. We plan to continuously encourage the participation of individuals who wish to pursue AI education in various disciplines.
The program started accepting students in the second semester of 2020 and is playing a pivotal role in AI education in SNU Graduate School, in addition to the newly established Interdisciplinary Major in Artificial Intelligence and AI System Semiconductor Engineering for AI (undergraduate programs).
The Interdisciplinary Program in Artificial Intelligence aims to achieve world-class academic excellence in the field of core AI. It will serve as the focal point of SNU’s AI research and the cultivation of advanced talents at the master’s and PhD levels, thus growing into a leading institution representing graduate education in AI.
