Visa & Residence Card
Visa
To study, visit, or conduct research at Seoul National University’s College of Engineering, obtaining the appropriate visa is essential. Visa application procedures may vary depending on your location. Therefore, we recommend contacting the nearest embassy or consulate for detailed instructions.
Visa Types

Student Visa (D-2)
- For general students pursuing degree at SNU or exchange/visiting students.

- Applicable to students attending Korean language programs only.

- Designed for researchers conducting research activities within a lab or research institute.

Professorship Visa (E-1)
- Intended for professors who will be giving lectures at an educational facility.
Residence Card
All non-Korean exchange/visiting students at Seoul National University are required to complete foreign registration at the Seoul Immigration Office within 90 days of their arrival in Korea. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in fines.
