The Haedong Japan Technology Information Centeris an affiliate of SNU College of Engineering founded by the late Chairman Kim Jeong-sik (Chairman of the Haedong Science and Technology Foundation), who also founded Daeduck Electronics Co., Ltd. This center provides the latest information about Japanese technology.
The Haedong Japan Technology Information Center was established on March 3, 2010, with the goal of guiding young students and industry professionals in understanding overseas technology and industrial trends through excellent Japanese literature and information, which will ultimately bring technological innovation in Korea. The center houses over 3,000 books covering various engineering fields, such as electrical and electronic engineering, architecture, mechanical and aerospace engineering, shipbuilding and marine engineering, construction, chemical engineering, and bioengineering. In addition, it subscribes to the latest publications from Nikkei and technical reports from Japanese companies, as well as online journals and newspapers. All these resources are available for regular access and search both in physical and online formats through the website.
Furthermore, the center translates and summarizes the key contents into Korean so as to swiftly and accurately deliver useful information on future technology and emerging industries published in a wide range of regular publications and books held by the center. All summarized translations are published on the center’s website and social media channels.
