As part of your job as a part-time Technology Scout Assistant in BMW Korea’s R&D Center, you
support our team with researching information on technological developments in Korea.
You help finding relevant information from internet sources according to an initial briefing within
various fields of interest (new inventions, innovative startups, scientific breakthroughs, etc.),
consolidate this information and, in few cases, translate the information into English. You deliver a
weekly report of your findings to BMW’s Technology Scouting team.
The work will be done remotely, with occasional meetings happening in BMW Korea’s office in
Myeongdong, Seoul. There is no workplace assigned in BMW’s office.
The work hours can be flexibly arranged by the successful candidate, with a total scope of 10
work hours per week. The compensation is 7,000 KRW/hour.
The initial duration of the contract is 6 months, which can be extended at the end of the period.
Qualifications
- Student (Undergraduate/Graduate) of Seoul National University’s College of Engineering
- Interest in a wide range of technologies and automotive technology in particular
- Self-starter, who can work disciplined without constant guidance
- Lateral thinker, who can derive the use cases of a given innovation and its potential use for
BMW
- Ability to find information on the internet beyond Naver/Daum and Google
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Native-evel Korean speaker, very good command of spoken and written English. Germanskills are a plus, but not
mandatory.
