Published 'Wistful moments, grateful people'

SNU College of Engineering (Dean Lee Kun-woo) stated on 25th that department of energy resources engineering Emeritus Professor Chon Hyo Taek published a book of essays, 'Wistful moments, and grateful people'.
This book includes 74 essays written by Professor Chon over 384 pages.
Professor Chon disclosed his life in very unique topics uncommon in essay books, such as academic major, research, etc. For instance, he wrote about learning of his major, participating in conferences and researching with his students in a graduate school.
Professor Chon said "The most pleasant thing in the preparation of the book was self-contemplation." and he said, "I hope to continue to write with my honest and genuine heart, and I want to become a sophisticated person who cares for people nearby.
Meanwhile, Professor Chon won many awards such as 2006 Gim Ok-jun Award, 2007 Seoam Award, and 2011 SNU Academic Research Award. Also he served as the president of the Korean Society of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineers and the president of the Korean Society of Economic and Environmental Geology. Also, he made his official debut as a writer with 'Modern essay' and continued to publish his essays in around 10 different literary magazines like Korea Essay, Essayist and Monthly Essay. Currently, he is a member of the Korea Writers Association.
