SNU Professor Lee Sin-Doo, selected as a SPIE Fellow

SNU College of Engineering (Dean Lee Kun-woo) stated on 23rd that Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Lee Sin-Doo was selected as a fellow of Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).
Professor Lee Sin-Doo was acknowledged of opening up new vistas in the optical technology by his major research, 'discovering new device physics of liquid crystals and developing fundamental technologies of displays', and was selected as the fellow. He once again was honored following his nomination as a fellow of Optical Society of America (OSA).
Professor Lee is now working as an associate editor in Optical Express, an authoritative journal regarding optics, where he finished his 3-year term and was re-elected.
Meanwhile, SPIE founded in 1955 is the most authoritative academic society in photo-optics. At present, the society contains around 18,000 members and 800 fellows of various areas of optics, photo-electronics, optical applications, and etc.
