SNU College of Engineering, held the 15th next generation construction leader academy

SNU College of Engineering (Dean Lee Kun-woo) stated on 6th that the 15th next generation construction leader academy started in last January and continued its education program in SNU Gwanak Campus.
The 15th next generation construction leader academy sponsored by SNU College of Engineering and organized by Hanmi Global. It is the first domestic industry-academic cooperated education program in the field of construction. The program was founded in 2007 and this year is the 15th program, and SNU participated since 12th.
The objective of the academy is to enhance creative problem solving techniques and strengthen knowledge in overall construction practice to achieve global competitiveness. It helps attendee's employment searching through elementary construction education programs by expect instructors and personages, and interview know-how provision from human resources managers from a domestic top construction enterprise.
Main education is composed of a construction site centered placement program (168 hours) and business experiences with computer practices. There are various benefits to the attendees; through the project evaluation, the very best team is offered of field trip to foreign sites, and the top graded attendee receives an education scholarship and a job recommendation letter.
SNU College of Engineering Dean Lee Kun-woo said, "We are honored to proceed the first domestic industry-academic cooperated education program in the field of construction with Hanmi Global, the domestic leading company in construction business management," and said "We will provide continuously to about 1000 future construction business leaders including 15th participants, for them to become a paramount strut in overall construction business."
Meanwhile, the next generation construction leader academy produced 747 students including major universities in Korea, Tsinghua University of China, Cornell University of the US, University of Illinois of the IS and etc. Until now, the average satisfaction rate of participants is over 90 and academy completion students show 85% of high employment, enrollment rate. The program has proved to be a major program of domestic and foreign construction related department.
