Seoul National University – Korea International Trade Association, signed a MOU on technology support for the export companies

Seoul National University College of Engineering (Dean Kunwoo Lee) and the Korea International Trade Association (Vice Chairman Jeonggwan Kim) signed a MOU on technology support for the export in the fourth industrial revolution era in the meeting room of the 51st floor of the Korea International Trade Association on November 4.a
Seoul National University, College of Engineering opened SNU Engineering Consulting Center in March 2014 and support domestic small and medium-sized domestic companies through industry-academia cooperation such as expert matching for technical support.
SNU, College of Engineering jointly organized a technical supporting program for export companies with Korea International Trade Association. This program was promoted based on the fact that most of the companies among 900 companies which request technical consulting to the SNU Engineering Consulting Center are export companies.
The two organizations will cooperate in the following fields: △ Technical consulting for solving technical difficulties and enhancing technical competitiveness of overseas export companies △ Export marketing support for industry-academia cooperation companies of SNU.
Through this business agreement, SNU plans to link SNU Engineering Consulting Center’s supporting program with the Korea International Trade Associations’ export supporting programs. In addition, through the establishment of export and technology integrated consultation support channels, they aim to solve the technical difficulties that companies face and contribute to the enhancement of technological competence of various export companies which make various attempts in the 4th industrial revolution era.
To achieve this goal, the SNU Engineering Consulting Center will continue to resolve technical difficulties of exporting companies by holding technology demand surveys and technical consultation meetings. In addition, they will support companies among the companies that are collaborating with SNU by linking support program of the Korea International Trade Association.
Dean Kunwoo Lee said, "By combining the export support program of the Korea Trade Association and the technology assets of the SNU College Engineering, we have established a new collaborative foundation to activate exports in the 4th industrial revolution era. It is expected to have excellent cases of fundamental export supporting program in this competitive global market.”
