Seoul National University, held the 2017 Creative Design Fair

Seoul National University College of Engineering held the 2017 Creative Design Fair from September 20 to 22, 2017. The fair was hosted by Seoul National University College of Engineering and sponsored by the Dongbu Cultural Foundation. The exhibition and evaluation were took place in the building number 38 (global education center for engineers). At the awards ceremony, Dongbu Group executive team participated and encouraged students.
 
A total of 24 teams from various departments including architecture, mechanics, electricity, materials, shipbuilding, etc. participated in the "Creative Design Competition", which is the core competition of the fair. Student teams named AIR, HBC Project, Happy Accompanying, Dipping Source and Basilisk participated and exhibited their engineering design prototypes.
 
The EV-Battery Team, which developed high-performance batteries for automobiles using anode materials, won the First Prize at the "Creative Design Competition" awarding ceremony held on the 21st. The Second Prize was awarded to the Dipping Sources team, which developed assist device for the blind, and Yesthinker team, which produced underwater scooters that can be attached to both arms. The Third Prize was awarded to the KyoungEun Song team, Likethis team and #undefined team.
 
The EV-Battery Team, which won the First Prize, will compete with students from other universities through the 2017 Engineering Education Festival held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju from November 9th to 10th, with additional support from the Engineering Education Innovation Center. Every year, the opportunity to participate in this festival is awarded to the SNU Engineering team. Last year, Axislight team from Seoul National University College of Engineering won the Grand Prize in this festival.

In addition, 2017 Creative Design Fair winners will be given the chance to participate in Japan Electronics Conference in January and to visit CES (the Global Stage for Innovation) that will be held in Las Vegas, with the support of Dongbu Group. Meanwhile, along with the creative design competition, ‘Gwanak02’ SNU Engineering student festival was also held. The event was hosted by SNU Engineering student union. In the festival, various exhibition booths and bazaars were operated from 20^th to 21^st at the central plaza of the college of engineering.
