Seoul National University College of Engineering, held the Thanksgiving Night Event

 Seoul National University College of Engineering (Dean Kookheon Char) announced on 3th that it held 'Thanksgiving Night' event in the grand hall at the first basement level of the Global Engineering Education Center on the evening of the 1^st.
Thanksgiving Night was held to thank the people who love Seoul National University College of Engineering and those who have made great contributions to the development of the College of Engineering. Many donors and alumni attended the event. In particular, Chairman Jeongsik Kim of HaeDong Cultural Foundation (graduated from Seoul National University, College of Engineering, 1956) attended the event despite of his old age and made donations on the spot.
At this event, a student representative Munjoo Kim (Department of Energy Resources Engineering) of ‘Global Leadership Program’, which is supported by ‘VISION2010’, made an acceptance speech of GLP scholarship. After, a student Yeongrok Choi of Department of Materials Science and Engineering, who won the Grand Prize at the Dongbu Creative Design Competition that are sponsored by DB Kim Jun Ki Cultural Foundation, made an appreciation presentation. 
 
Bui Huu Trung, who is a student of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and who was awarded the Southeast Asian professors' scholarship, also made presentation. Bui Huu Trung is a professor at Ho Chi Minh University in Vietnam but does not hold Ph.D. degree. Therefore, he is currently studying at the Seoul National University as a Ph.D. student with the financial support of College of Engineering. Bui Huu Trung expressed his respect to the College of Engineering, and gave a heartfelt gratitude to the participants for being able to grow his dream and vision thanks to the help from Koreans. Many participants were sincerely touched by his speech.
 
The first-part dinner, which was followed by the presentations, was started with the fusion Korean music performance of the team 'Bi-um' composed of the alumni of the Seoul National University, Department of Korean Music. All the participants applaud the beautiful songs played by the team.
 
In the second part, "Miracle male chorus" composed of Seoul National Unviersity, Department of Vocal Music alumni sang beautiful songs : Stein Song, nostalgia, old Mt. Geumgang, O sole mio and Funiculi funicular.
Dean Char, who held the event, said “It was meaningful night for us to see the sincere love and donations of many people who truly care College of Engineering. I was able to see the bright future of the College of Engineering. ”
