Seoul National University, won the Grand Prize at ‘College Students Programing Competition’

Seoul National University College of Engineering (Dean Kookheon Char) announced on the 14th that students' team of Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Bum-soo Park, Sung-gwan Park, Sang-soo Park, hereafter SNU team) won the Grand Prize at the "College Students Programming Competition" .

Participants of the competition need to solve 12 complex algorithmic problems for 5 hours using computer. A total of 258 participants, including 80 domestic college students and 6 Asian teams, participated in the competition.

The SNU team (Bum-soo Park, Sung-gwan Park, Sang-soo Park) who won the grand prize will be given the opportunity to participate the International College Students Programming Competition next year in Beijing as a representative of Korea. The SNU team is expected to perform well in next year's international competition, as the student team of SNU won the gold medal for the first time in Korea last year.

Meanwhile, Bum-soo Park and Sang-soo Park (both are students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Seoul National University) are brother. They both are very good at computer programming and participated the competition as a single team.
