Seoul National University College of Engineering (Dean, Kookheon Char) announced on 27th that master course student Sungwoo Kim of Department of Industrial Engineering won the Best Paper Prize at the ‘2017 Korean SCM Society Fall Conference’, which was held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on the 16th.

Under the supervision of Professor Ilkyeong Moon, Mr.Kim won the prize for presenting his thesis on " Early Stage Response Problem for Post-Disaster Incidents."

If those areas are kept isolated and cannot be fixed within a golden time, they can be more damaged. Mr.Kim suggested a repair manpower scheduling model for road recovery in terms of the damage patterns based on the golden time.

Mr.Kim said, "Thanks to my enthusiastic supervisor and colleagues, I could won the prize. I would like to develop my research in order to reduce the damage caused by the disaster.”
