SNU College of Engineering (Dean Cha Kook-Heon) signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Engineering Project Management (EPM) Program with DPR Construction.
 
Since its establishment in 1990, DPR Construction has been the leading US firm in the field of advanced constructions. It is known for building the headquarters of Facebook, eBay, Apple and many other global IT corporations. In addition, DPR, with a high customer reliability, has a contract renewal rate of over 90% and has also been ranked 10^th on Forbes’ “Best Places to Work For.”
 
Participants of the signing ceremony include SNU College of Engineering Dean Cha Kook-Heon, EPM Head Professor Park JunBeom, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Dean Kim Jae Young, DPR Construction’s Management Committee Member Eric Lamb, South Korea Managing Director Cho Sangwoo, etc.
 
SNU EPM Principal Professor Park Changwoo states, “This contract will foster innovation in Korean construction firms that are currently in crisis. It will provide the best educational program to raise the competency in global project management, which is needed for entering the US market.”
 
Meanwhile, following the signing ceremony, DPR Construction’s Management Committee Member Eric Lamb engaged in the EPM showcase on Smart Construction held at the Global Education Center for Engineers (GECE) as a special lecturer. Lamb shared tips to increase construction firm’s competitiveness through the application of innovational and differentiated ICT technologies like big data, AR, VR, etc.
