SNU College of Engineering & ZWCAD KOREA Sign the MOU for Smart City HR Training

SNU College of Engineering (Dean Kookheon Char) announced on 8^th that the college signed the MOU with ZWCAD Korea for HR training and research cooperation relating to Smart City. The ceremony was held on July 2^nd where many representative figures including Kookheon Char (Dean of College of Engineering), Ki-bok Min (Vice Dean for Strategy & Planning), Professor Young-Sang Kwon (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering), and Jong Bok Choi (CEO of ZWCAD Korea) participated.

SNU was nominated by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs to conduct the Smart City Innovative Talent plan. Hence, SNU signed this contract to foster specialists for the smart city industry and formulate cooperative systems for policy and research development in related fields. 
 
ZWCAD Korea is a corporation that is bringing innovation to Korea’s facility maintenance through their mobile “EX-CAD” solution. They are professionally developing smart city software using 2D and 3D CAD for social infrastructure inspection and disaster preparation.
 
Through this MOU, SNU and ZWCAD Korea plan to: ▲ run the Innovative Talent Education Program for Smart City, ▲ participate and support various government-funded education and research projects, ▲ conduct active researches to strengthen data science competence and resolve social issues, and ▲ cooperate in hosting various university-industry programs and international cooperative programs.
 
Dean Char stated, “Through this MOU, we attempt to raise specialists in smart city that the future society calls. We will strive to bring more practical solutions to the smart city field.”
