2020 International Collegiate Programming Contest

Seoul National University won the gold medal at the 'International Collegiate Programming Contest' (ICPC), the world's largest programming competition hosted by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
 
The Seoul National University team won the gold medal at the finals held in Moscow, Russia on October 5, 2021, after it being postponed once due to the spread of COVID-19 in 2020, placing 2nd out of 140 teams.

The Seoul National University team (Shi Je-yeon, Cho Seung-hyeon, Park Sang-soo, and coach Professor Heon Young Yeom) solved 11 of the 15 problems, and unfortunately did not reach the position of world champion by one problem, but achieved the best performance among all Korean national teams.
 
Seoul National University won a gold medal in 2017, a silver medal in 2018, and a silver medal in 2019, followed by a gold medal in this year's competition, continuing their streak of receiving a medal for the fourth consecutive year.
 
The ICPC was first held at the Computer Science Conference of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in 1977 and is the most prestigious computer programming competition in which university students from all over the world participate every year.
 
60,000 college students from 3,514 universities of 115 countries participated in the regional competition, of which 420 college students from 140 teams that passed the regional competition with the highest grades competed in the finals, known as the "World Final."
